Export to Candrop Pro

Ribbon: Home > Export

An interface to CanDrop is available in Sicat Master . It is a unidirectional interface, which reads out data from Sicat Master for calculations with Candrop.

Data from Sicat Master is written into a text file, which can be read by Candrop afterwards. Both programs use different data models which have several special features. These have to be acknowledged during the data export.

Note: When transferring data from Sicat Master to CanDrop, calculation errors by Candrop may occur.
  • CanDrop processes exclusively clothoid-formed transition curves. Other types are calculated as clothoids.
  • Kilometer defects are not transferred to CanDrop. If kilometer defects exist, the data with the internal chainage must be executed by Sicat Master.
  • Tunnel supports and structure fixings are not supported by CanDrop.

If kilometre defects or transition curves that are not not clothoid-formed appear in your project, Sicat Master automatically generates suitable messages during the export in the export file as well as in an error file. You can refer to these messages to apply necessary adjustments directly in the text file.

Two options are available for export: with internal or external chainage.

  • With internal chainage, the kilometer stations are given steadily linear. The allocation between actual and internal chainage must be carried out by hand. Errors on the basis of kilometer interfaces do not appear.
  • With external chainage, the actual kilometer path is used. kilometer defects are interpreted incorrectly by CanDrop (the missing part is included in section length).
